Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a 495-bed freestanding children’s hospital in Los Angeles with 18 operating rooms, 24 beds in our pediatric ICU and 58 beds in our neonatal ICU. We care for children from our local community, as well as from all over the world, with a wide range of pathologies. Surgical case volume ranges from 700-800 cases per year. 

Phần mềm chống xóc đĩa trên điện thoại di độngThe pediatric neurosurgical service consists of five full-time attending pediatric neurosurgeons, one USC neurosurgery resident, as well as one to two neurosurgery resident rotators from other programs. A team of three advanced practice providers (APPs) and one clinical nurse manager contributes to both inpatient and outpatient care.

Phần mềm chống xóc đĩa trên điện thoại di độngThe pediatric neurosurgery fellow leads the resident and APP team and assigns operating-room and clinical duties. The fellow has clinical instructor status and attending surgeon privileges during the fellowship year. This arrangement facilitates the fellow’s transition to independent practice while gaining a wide range of subspecialty training in pediatric neurosurgery. Call is typically every other week with neurosurgery attending backup at all times. The fellow is eligible for faculty benefits, including health and dental insurance, four weeks of vacation and two weeks of continuing medical education.

Exposure to basic science and clinical research is readily available for those interested. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a participating center in the , in addition to the study collaborative for Chiari and Syringomyelia. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles also participates in the and the .
