Please note: The invitation may be sent to you several hours prior to your appointment. We recommend you join the visit 10 minutes before your child’s scheduled start time.

Through the MyChildren’sLA Patient Portal

If you are a registered member of the MyChildren’sLA Patient Portal, you can access your virtual visit directly on the portal through the ChildrensLA app.

Not a member? Find out how to join by clicking here. You will need the patient’s medical record number (MRN) to complete the process. You can find the MRN at the bottom of the visit summary you received after your last appointment. Following the submission of the enrollment form, your account will be verified by Health Information Management. You will receive an email to verify your account.

Virtual Visit Tips

  • Before your child's visit, conduct a Tech Check to ensure your phone or device is ready:
  • Make sure your device is charged or plugged in to a power source.
  • Use the fastest internet connection available. This will give you the best video quality.
  • Find a private space in a quiet, well-lit area. The area should be distraction-free (e.g., TV off and no other listeners nearby).
  • Before starting your child's virtual visit, turn on overhead lights and block out light from windows using shades or blinds.
  • When prompted, please provide your phone number. We may need to call you back if the connection is poor or the video is disconnected.
